Job Title: Billing Specialist
Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (hybrid)
Type: Permanent, full-time
About the Role
As a Billing Specialist, you'll be responsible for the end-to-end client invoicing process within our Phillipines Finance Team, ensuring that billing is carried out with precision, meets contractual requirements, and reflects agreed-upon pricing structures. You'll work across systems like SAP to pull and reconcile data, resolve billing queries with professionalism, and maintain clear records for audit and compliance purposes.
You'll also collaborate closely with internal stakeholders and external clients, contributing to the wider finance team's efficiency and service delivery. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes ownership of their work.
Responsibilities
Generate accurate and complete invoices using operational and commercial data.
Review all billing outputs to meet quality standards and internal SLAs.
Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external billing queries.
Investigate discrepancies and communicate resolutions effectively.
Manage day-to-day invoicing correspondence with clients and teams.
Reconcile data across systems and maintain clear documentation in SAP.
Ensure all billing activities comply with internal policies, VAT rules, and audit standards.
Support finance projects and contribute to process improvements.
Meet individual and team performance targets (accuracy, timeliness, resolution rates, etc.).
To be successful in the role, you will have:
2-3 years of experience in billing or accounts receivable, ideally within a corporate or shared services environment.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Proven ability to manage complex billing cycles involving multiple systems.
Strong knowledge of SAP (or similar ERP), Excel, and Microsoft Office.
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure.
Strong communication skills in English.
A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines.
