About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive BIM Coordinator (C&S) to join our team for a large-scale Data Centre construction project in Johor. As part of the main contractor team, you will be responsible for coordinating, managing, and delivering BIM models for Civil & Structural (C&S) works, ensuring alignment with project requirements and design intent.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage BIM models for Civil & Structural (C&S) disciplines throughout design, construction, and as-built stages.
- Work closely with internal project teams, consultants, and subcontractors to ensure BIM deliverables meet project standards and client expectations.
- Review, check, and validate BIM models, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and coordination requirements.
- Support clash detection and resolution processes with other disciplines (MEP, Architectural, etc.).
- Maintain and update BIM execution plans, workflows, and documentation.
- Provide technical support and guidance to site teams on BIM-related issues.
- Assist in preparing shop drawings, construction sequencing, and digital simulations where required.
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure timely submission and approval of BIM deliverables.
Requirements
- Bachelors Degree/Diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 35 years of BIM coordination experience in construction projects, preferably with exposure to data centre, industrial, or large-scale building projects.
- Strong technical knowledge in Civil & Structural (C&S) works.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other relevant BIM tools.
- Familiarity with international BIM standards (e.g., ISO 19650) and local authority requirements.
- Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Previous experience with main contractors is highly advantageous.
