Job Summary:
Manages BIM initiatives, modelling and delivery in a project according to the overall resources, timelines and standards, in conjunction with the client requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Manage BIM deliverables and implementation in projects.
- Acting as the intermediary between designers, clients and architects so that projects remain efficient and effective.
- Working closely with BIM coordinators, who are responsible for producting BIM 3D models.
- Ensuring that BIM Executive Plans (BEP) are produced and maintained for each project.
- Completing supply chain assessments and BIM Audits.
- Supporting the project team in BIM technologies and flagging non-compliances.
- Responsible for BIM standards development, implementation and enforcement.
- Manage BIM modelling and drawing production output.
- Implement BIM 3D, 4D and 5D across the projects.
- Develop BEP and enforce ISO BIM documentation and standards.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years experience with design or Engineering experience.
- In-depth knowledge of current BIM processes and standards.
- Must have basic Autodesk and Bentley software working experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Ability to use time productively, maximise project efficiency and meet challenging project goals.
- Ability to take on additional technical responsibilities and knowledge as needed with minimal guidance.
- Must possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand highest standard of conduct from self and others.
- Must be a self-starter and possess the drive to pursue continued improvements in BIM, tunneling and construction industry.
- Possess the ability to lead a team and work independently.
Skills & Abilities:
- Training or upskilling colleagues in BIM software programmes (e.g. Revit, Navisworks, Bentley and ProjectWise).
- Ensuring engineers have access to the BIM tools and equipment they need.
- Overseeing the purchase of software, workstations and tablets so that BIM related tools is sufficient and effective.
- Producing monthly reports for senior managers, to identify and measure BIM implementation.
- Keeping up-to-date with advancements in BIM and Survey technology.
- Driving the implementation of digital information plans and strategies.
- Leading meetings to identify project tasks and resolve issues.
- Overseeing BIM budgets and drawing production.
- Supporting the career development, coaching and mentoring of engineers.
- Raising the profile of BIM within across departments and group.
- Adhering to the latest industry standards.
- Lead BIM Coordination meetings in projects with client, subcontractors and consultants.
- Reporting to Head of Digital Engineering Department in company.
