Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Modeler (Civil & Structural) to join our project team for a high-profile Data Centre construction project in Johor. The BIM Modeler will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing C&S models to ensure accuracy, constructability, and alignment with project requirements. You will work closely with project engineers, coordinators, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality BIM outputs for project execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate 3D BIM models for Civil & Structural (C&S) works, including foundations, structural frames, and infrastructure components.
- Coordinate C&S models with M&E and Architectural disciplines to resolve clashes and ensure smooth integration.
- Prepare and update BIM drawings, shop drawings, and construction details in accordance with project specifications.
- Support the project team in extracting 2D drawings, schedules, and quantities from BIM models.
- Participate in design coordination meetings and provide technical input on constructability and BIM-related issues.
- Ensure BIM standards, guidelines, and protocols are implemented and followed throughout the project lifecycle.
- Assist in conducting clash detection, model reviews, and design validation exercises.
- Maintain accurate documentation and version control of BIM models and drawings.
- Provide technical support to engineers, coordinators, and site teams as required.
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 35 years of experience as a BIM Modeler in Civil & Structural works, preferably with main contractors.
- Strong experience in large-scale building or industrial projects, ideally Data Centres, Semiconductors, or similar complex projects.
- Proficient in Revit, Navisworks, AutoCAD, and other BIM-related software.
- Knowledge of BIM execution plans, standards, and coordination processes.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Willing to be based full-time in Johor.
