Job Description

To develop, manage and maintain comprehensive Building Information Modelling (BIM) deliverables for Rafulin Holdings tender, proposal and active project portfolios, ensuring all models meet industry standards, client requirements and align with CIDB MyBIM guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

1. BIM Model Development

  • Develop and maintain detailed BIM models for C&S, M&E, and Architectural works based on approved drawings and specifications.
  • Produce 3D models, 2D drawings, and shop drawings from BIM software (e.g., Revit, Navisworks).
  • Ensure all modelling follows project standards, Level of Detail (LOD) requirements, and company BIM guidelines.
  • Update models based on design revisions and site feedback.

2. Model Coordination & Clash Detection

  • Perform clash detection using BIM software to identify and resolve coordination issues between disciplines.
  • Assist engineers in resolving technical conflicts within the model prior to construction.
  • Coordinate model integration across different trades to ensure constructability.
  • Maintain updated coordination models for submission and review.

3. BIM Execution Support

  • Assist in the implementation of project-specific BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
  • Ensure compliance with CIDB MyBIM standards and internal BIM procedures.
  • Follow established naming conventions, modelling protocols, and documentation standards.
  • Support BIM coordination meetings and technical discussions.

4. Drawing Production & Documentation

  • Extract accurate 2D drawings, schedules, and quantities from BIM models.
  • Prepare as-built drawings and update models to reflect site conditions.
  • Maintain proper documentation and version control of all BIM files.
  • Ensure all submitted drawings meet quality and regulatory standards.

5. Technical Support & Collaboration

  • Work closely with Project Engineers, C&S Engineers, and M&E Engineers to support design validation.
  • Participate in design review meetings to identify modelling inconsistencies or constructability concerns.
  • Provide technical modelling support during tender and construction stages.
  • Assist in resolving on-site modelling discrepancies when required.

6. Compliance with QSHE Requirements

  • Ensure all modelling and documentation activities comply with Quality, Safety & Health, and Environmental (QSHE) requirements.
  • Adhere to company policies, regulatory standards, and project safety guidelines.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to BIM processes and workflows.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering / Construction Management / Quantity Surveying or Equivalent
  • At least 5 years experience in BIM
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Revit & BIM software
  • Strong understanding of construction design and coordination
  • Ability to conduct clash detection and produce coordination reports
  • Knowledge of CIDB MyBIM standard practices
  • Technical drawing interpretation (plans, sections, elevations)
  • Attention to detail & accuracy in modelling
