Responsibilities
Perform and support biomedical equipment maintenance at the hospital including testing and commissioning, warranty management, scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, asset decommission, advisory services, user training, vendor management, and parts delivery to comply with the hospital and safety requirement.
- To manage all biomedical equipment in the hospital through management of PPM service schedule and also cost and risk minimizing activities.
- To prepare a Planned Preventive Maintenance service schedule for biomedical equipment, and monitor the progress of the PPM service schedule.
- To schedule corrective maintenance service for faulty equipment, and monitor the changing of spare parts.
- To prepare and manage service contracts with vendors.
- To oversee service the testing and commissioning of new medical equipment and devices, and oversee service vendors with the hospital.
- Technical evaluation and recommendation for procurement of new equipment.
- Ensure all policies and procedures of Integrated Management System (IMS), OHSAS 18001 and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.
Requirement:
- Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Biomedical or Electronic Engineering).
- At least 2 3 years of working experience as Biomedical Engineer/Technician. Preferably, those with relevant experience in hospital/healthcare business or equivalent.
- Must be proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia, oral and written, must have excellent. presentation skills, must be a team player, and must have a strong leadership personality.
- Possess strong negotiation skills.
- Good time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
