BIOS application engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Design & Development: Architect, develop, and debug system BIOS for next-generation client platforms featuring our flagship APU/CPU products.

Technical Leadership & Collaboration: Lead day-to-day BIOS development activities, collaborating closely with internal architecture, firmware, and validation teams, as well as external BIOS vendors and clients.

Advanced System Debugging: Be the go-to expert for resolving the toughest system-level issues. You will:

Debug complex BIOS and platform-related problems.

Assist validation teams in root-cause analysis of silicon and system issues.

Provide expert-level consultation on feature implementation and programming requirements.

Customer Partnership: Act as the primary technical point of contact for clients, ensuring their success and fostering strong, collaborative relationships.

Preferred Experience:

Expert-level knowledge of PC industry standards: ACPI, PCI Express (PCIe), USB, SATA.

High proficiency in C programming and x86 Assembly language.

Hands-on experience with at least one major BIOS codebase (AMI, Insyde, or Phoenix).

A proven track record of system-level debugging and problem-solving.

Excellent communication skills, with full fluency in written and spoken English.

Experience mentoring junior engineers or leading technical initiatives is a strong plus.
