# BMS Engineer (Testing & Commissioning)

## Role Summary

Join our team as a BMS Engineer (Testing & Commissioning) to support a major project based in Kulai, Johor. In this hands-on, site-based role, you will be involved in Building Management Systems (BMS), EPMS, and SCADA-related testing and commissioning activities, working independently with minimal supervision to ensure successful project delivery.

## Key Responsibilities

- Support BMS/EPMS/SCADA testing and commissioning activities at the project site.

- Perform point-to-point checks to verify system signals, equipment status, and communications.

- Assist with Sequence of Operation (SOO) testing and functional verification.

- Prepare and compile system screenshots and evidence for documentation purposes.

- Generate testing, commissioning, and technical reports as required.

- Verify that field devices and systems communicate correctly with monitoring/control platforms.

- Troubleshoot software, system communication, and connectivity issues.

- Support verification of communication protocols such as Modbus and BACnet.

- Conduct basic network-related checks during system troubleshooting.

- Collaborate with project, commissioning, and engineering teams to resolve system issues.

- Record testing results, outstanding issues, and corrective actions, and retest systems after rectification.

- Support project documentation and handover requirements.

- Carry out assigned commissioning activities with minimal supervision while meeting project timelines and quality standards.

## Must-have Requirements

- Bachelor's or Diploma in any field

- CIDB requirement applicable for site work

- Willing and able to work on-site in Kulai, Johor

- Available to join within the project's required timeline

- 1+ years of relevant engineering experience in BMS, EPMS, SCADA, building automation, electrical monitoring, or a related environment

- Basic working knowledge of BMS/EPMS and/or SCADA systems

- Exposure to testing and commissioning activities

- Ability to perform or support point-to-point checks

- Understanding of Sequence of Operation testing

- Basic understanding of industrial/building communication protocols, particularly Modbus

- Basic understanding of BACnet protocol

- Basic networking knowledge for system connectivity and communication troubleshooting

- Basic troubleshooting capability covering software and communication issues

- Ability to prepare screenshots, testing evidence, and technical reports

- Able to work independently with minimal supervision

## Nice-to-have Requirements

- Previous experience with our client's systems

- Exposure to EcoStruxure Power Operation (EPO)

- Experience with EcoStruxure Building Operation or similar building management platforms

- Hands-on experience with EPMS – Electrical Power Monitoring Systems

- Previous data centre, critical infrastructure, or large-scale building project experience

- Experience supporting complete testing and commissioning cycles

- Ability to independently troubleshoot Modbus/BACnet communication issues

- Experience preparing commissioning reports, test scripts, screenshots, and project handover documentation

- Electrical, electronics, automation, controls, mechatronics, or related engineering background
