ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
BO Chargeman
- Responsible for the plant electrical system including planning and operating safety precautions.
- Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on high-voltage transformers, switchgear, switch rooms, power generators, and building electrical systems.
- Support the team in maintenance activities and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical equipment to ensure smooth plant operations.
- Register and maintain Chargeman competency (under EDSB) with the Energy Commission of Malaysia in accordance with the Electricity Supply Act & Regulations.
Utility/Facility Engineer
- Develop and implement facility management programs, including preventive and corrective maintenance plans.
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve facility maintenance requests.
- Oversee upkeep, repair, and CAPEX projects involving mechanical, electrical, civil, and general infrastructure.
- Manage maintenance budgets, monitor downtime, and ensure cost-efficiency.
- Prepare and maintain facility SOPs and ensure compliance with ISO and HSE standards.
- Lead facility inspection, ensure industry code compliance, and support new building setups including budgeting.
- Generate monthly building and maintenance reports, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Lead and manage a team of Facility Technicians.
- Ensure all facility operations comply with internal standards, safety practices, and regulatory guidelines.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Engineering, Electrical, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Possess a valid Chargeman BO 11kV certificate issued by the Energy Commission of Malaysia (Suruhanjaya Tenaga).
- Minimum 3 years of working experience in the manufacturing industry, particularly in electrical systems maintenance and facilities management.
- Strong strategic thinking, with excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Results-driven and KPI-oriented, with a demonstrated ability to support operational improvements and ensure equipment reliability.
