The Role

Job Summary

The Body & Paint Regional Manager is responsible for developing, supporting, and managing Proton e.MAS authorized Body & Paint dealer network. The role ensures that all dealerships operate in accordance with Proton e.MAS standards for customer service, repair quality, operational efficiency, safety, and profitability. The Regional Manager will work closely with dealers throughout the entire dealership lifecycle, from facility planning and establishment to daily operations and continuous performance improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Network Development

  • Support the establishment and expansion of the authorized Body & Paint dealer network.
  • Ensure dealer facilities comply with OEM Body & Paint standards before commencement of operations.
  • Coordinate dealer onboarding activities, including facility readiness, equipment, manpower, and operational processes.

2. Dealer Operations

  • Manage the performance of assigned Body & Paint dealers.
  • Conduct regular dealer visits to monitor operational performance and compliance with Proton e.MAS standards.
  • Develop action plans to improve dealer productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction, and repair quality.
  • Monitor workshop capacity utilization, repair turnaround time, work-in-progress (WIP), and delivery performance.

3. Business Performance

  • Monitor dealer KPIs and prepare regional performance reports.
  • Analyze business trends and recommend improvement initiatives.
  • Support achievement of regional revenue, productivity, and customer satisfaction targets.
  • Identify opportunities to improve dealer profitability and operational efficiency.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Technical Support, Parts, and Network Development teams.
  • Coordinate regional activities with insurance partners and external stakeholders where applicable.
  • Support new model launches and Body & Paint repair readiness.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in automotive aftersales, Body & Paint operations, dealer management, or network development.
  • Experience with an automotive OEM or authorized dealer network is an advantage.
  • Strong knowledge of Body & Paint workshop operations, collision repair processes, OEM repair standards, and workshop KPI management.
  • Strong leadership, communication, presentation, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willing to travel extensively within the assigned region.
