Job Description

Portcities is seeking a driven and hands-on Branch Manager to lead and grow our Malaysian operations. We welcome applications from both local and international candidates who are motivated to build and scale a high-performing consulting team.

This role is pivotal to driving the branch's overall performance, covering delivery excellence, sales performance, and full ownership of the business's bottom line.

You will be accountable for project delivery quality, consulting revenue growth, sales execution, and profitability, while ensuring strict alignment with Portcities methodology and values. As Branch Manager, you will lead the local sales and consulting team, develop customer relationships, and create a professional, performance-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Your mandate will be to revamp the business by focusing on four core objectives:

  1. Sales Performance: Oversee the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to deal closure, ensuring we meet sales targets.
  2. Build the Team: Strengthen the local team by hiring, coaching, and developing talent in line with Odoo and Portcities best practices.
  3. Control Performance: Take full ownership of the business P&L, managing team performance, project margin, and consultant utilisation to drive profitability.
  4. Lead the Business: Provide overall leadership for the branch, guiding a management team responsible for Sales and Consulting

Expected commitment: 24 months

Qualifications

1. Proven Leadership Experience : Minimum 3 years of experience in management or leadership roles, preferably in consulting, ERP implementation, or technology services, with a strong track record of leading cross-functional teams.

2. Strong Sales & Business Development Capability : Demonstrated experience managing the full sales cycle, from prospecting to deal closure, and achieving revenue targets, ideally in B2B consulting or ERP solutions.

3. Talent Development : Proven ability to hire, coach, and develop high-performing teams, fostering a performance-driven culture aligned with company methodologies and best practices.

4. ERP / Consulting Industry Experience : Strong understanding of ERP systems (preferably Odoo) and consulting project delivery, with the ability to ensure quality implementation and high client satisfaction.

5. Office Growth & Team Leadership : Ability to lead and develop a small office of approximately 3–5 employees, with the ambition and capability to grow the team and business to the next level, working closely with senior leadership for guidance and support.
