More about the role:
We are currently looking for a Brand and PR Manager to play a key role in shaping and driving Club Med's brand and PR strategy across Singapore and Malaysia. This position is central to how the brand is perceived in both markets, with direct responsibility for building brand image and awareness through strategic PR, partnerships and influence initiatives. A strong storyteller, the ideal candidate is able to translate brand ambition into clear narratives and tangible actions, ensuring consistent and impactful brand presence in line with our upscale lifestyle positioning and brand values.
Mission 1: Own and lead the brand and PR strategy for Singapore and Malaysia
- Define and own an annual PR strategy per market, aligned with business priorities and brand positioning
- Translate marketing strategy into clear PR plans, covering:
- Media relations and editorial opportunities
- Events and experiential PR moments
- Brand partnerships
- Press trips, KOL activations and announcements
- Act as the senior PR reference for Singapore and Malaysia, including coordination with regional teams and support in crisis situations
- Lead and challenge PR agencies, ensuring clarity of direction, quality of execution and strong relationships with media
- Track, analyse and report on PR value, quality of coverage and narrative consistency
Mission 2: Build and activate brand partnerships, influence and events
- Design and roll out a structured brand partnerships strategy, aligned with brand values and market priorities
- Lead end-to-end partnerships and activations, including:
- Brands Lifestyle partnerships
- On-site resort activations or mini in resort events
- Develop and manage a year-round influence roadmap, ensuring the right profiles are activated at the right moments across the year
- Own the ideation, planning and execution of brand events and experiential moments in Singapore and Malaysia, ensuring strong PR mileage and flawless coordination
- Prepare and position management as credible brand spokespeople when relevant
- Ensure partnerships are delivered efficiently, with clear objectives, timelines and measurable outcomes.
Mission 3: Drive thought leadership and brand credibility
- Build a thought leadership approach that elevates the brand's perception.
- Identify themes, narratives and spokesperson angles that reinforce the brand's lifestyle positioning.
- Lead interviews, media briefings and external speaking opportunities when required
- Act as a trusted point of contact for external stakeholders, journalists and partners.
Mission 4: Set the standard for brand communication
- Oversee and elevate all PR-related content: Press releases, Media kits, event narratives and key messages
- Act as a brand guardian, ensuring tone, storytelling and visuals consistently support the upscale lifestyle positioning
- Support executive and internal communications when needed, with strong editorial judgement
- Craft yearly social media content calendar and ensures delivery
Mission 5: Budget ownership and operational excellence
- Own and manage the Brand, PR and influence budget across both markets
- Ensure resources are allocated intelligently, with clear ROI and priorities
- Embed PR efforts within broader marketing initiatives to maximise impact and avoid siloed execution
- Share best practices, insights and market intelligence across the team
Responsibilities
- Translate marketing objectives into a coherent Brand and PR strategy and ensure its effective execution
- Lead brand, PR and media strategies across Singapore and Malaysia, adapting them to local market needs
- Build and activate brand partnerships that reinforce brand storytelling and positioning
- Integrate PR initiatives within wider marketing plans to maximise synergies and impact
- Act as brand guardian, overseeing content quality, consistency and tone of voice
- Own the Brand and PR budget, from planning to tracking and optimization
- Manage both Singapore and Malaysia PR agencies
Performance KPIs
- PR reach and PR value growth (earned and amplified coverage)
- Brand salience and quality of brand presence across key touchpoints
- Contribution to organic traffic and brand-led visibility
- Impact and performance of brand partnerships and influence initiatives
- Timely delivery of all projects
Requirements and skills needed
- Bachelor / Master's Degree in Marketing, Business, Hospitality, or related field.
- Minimum 6-8 years experience in PR, brand or communications roles
- Experience in lifestyle, hospitality, travel or premium consumer brands is preferred
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution
- Experience managing agencies, projects and budgets
- Comfortable working across a wide range of topics (sports, lifestyle, destinations)
Competencies
- Strong understanding of the PR and media landscape in Singapore and Malaysia
- Proven ability to design structured strategies and deliver them through disciplined execution
- Strong end-to-end project management capabilities across PR, partnerships and events
- Brand understanding and storytelling ability aligned with premium positioning
- Ability to lead agencies and partners with clarity and high standards
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Comfortable operating autonomously while working in close collaboration with stakeholders
Technical skills
- Strong professional writing and editing skills in English, with the ability to adapt tone to different audiences
- Advanced copywriting and content review capabilities
- Solid proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially PowerPoint and Excel
