Role Description The Assistant Brand Manager Marketing role is a full-time hybrid position based in Petaling Jaya, with flexibility for partial work from home. This role supports the development and execution of brand and marketing strategies for Kao Malaysia's portfolio, including planning campaigns, monitoring brand performance, and assisting in annual brand plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating marketing activities across channels, working with internal teams and external agencies, and ensuring consistent brand messaging and visual identity. The role involves tracking market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities, preparing reports and presentations, and managing timelines and budgets for assigned projects. The Assistant Brand Manager Marketing collaborates closely with sales, trade marketing, and regional stakeholders to drive brand growth and strengthen market presence.

Qualifications

  • Strong marketing and brand management capabilities, including experience with consumer goods or FMCG brands.
  • Ability to analyze market data, consumer insights, and performance metrics to support marketing decisions.
  • Skill in coordinating campaigns and projects, including working with agencies and cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional languages is an advantage.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with digital and social media platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, adaptability in a hybrid work environment, and a proactive, results-oriented mindset.
  • Prior experience in brand or trade marketing, particularly in the health, beauty, or household care categories, is an added advantage.
