Job Summary:
The Brand Development Manager will be responsible for driving brand awareness, generating new business leads, and increasing market share for our retail fashion and beauty brands. This role involves developing and executing go-to-market strategies, monitoring market trends, and devising innovative growth strategies to maintain the brand's competitive edge. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in brand management, retail strategy, and consumer insights.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze Brand Positioning and Consumer Insights:
- Conduct thorough analysis of brand positioning within the market and gather and interpret consumer insights to shape effective marketing strategies.
Generate New Business Leads:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the brand's market presence.
Evaluate Marketing Channels and Campaigns:
- Assess the performance of marketing channels and campaigns, adjusting strategies based on performance data to optimize results.
Enhance Brand Awareness and Market Share:
- Develop and implement strategies to increase brand visibility and market penetration.
Develop Go-to-Market Strategies:
- Translate brand elements into comprehensive plans and execute go-to-market strategies to ensure successful product launches.
Monitor Market Trends and Competitor Activities:
- Stay informed about industry trends and competitive activities, conducting market research to identify opportunities and threats.
Implement 360 Marketing Mix Strategies:
- Propose and oversee integrated marketing strategies across in-store, ATL media, BTL media, etc., ensuring a cohesive and engaging consumer brand experience.
Devise Innovative Growth Strategies:
- Create and implement growth strategies that drive brand expansion and revenue.
Ensure Internal Alignment on Brand Strategy:
- Align the company around the brand's direction, choices, and tactics, effectively communicating the brand's vision and direction across the organization.
Lead Visual Merchandise Management:
- Direct visual merchandising efforts to enhance brand presentation in retail environments.
Oversee Multiple Brand Portfolios:
- Manage multiple brand portfolios, ensuring successful product development and launches.
Expand Distribution Channels:
- Identify and develop new distribution channels to increase market reach.
Foster Brand Collaborations:
- Cultivate partnerships and collaborations with other brands to enhance brand visibility and market position.
Guide Brand Vision and Strategy:
- Develop long-term marketing plans that align with the brand's vision, driving innovation in marketing tactics and strategies.
Prepare and Present Reports:
- Compile and present quarterly and annual performance reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations.
Promote the Brand at Industry Events:
- Represent the brand at trade shows, conferences, and other major industry-related events.
Stay Updated on Brand Trends:
- Keep informed of the latest brand & marketing strategies and trends, applying best practices to brand development efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in brand management or marketing.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing successful brand strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret market data and consumer insights.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Creative thinker with the ability to devise innovative marketing solutions.
- Experience in visual merchandising and database management.
- Ability to manage multiple brand portfolios and drive new product development.
- Knowledge of the modest retail market is a plus.
