Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Broadcast Intern located in Cyberjaya. The Broadcast Intern will assist in various broadcasting functions, supporting live event coverage, and ensuring smooth broadcast transmissions. Responsibilities include assisting with production tasks, learning broadcast engineering operations, and contributing to the preparation and execution of television broadcasts. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the dynamic field of sports broadcasting.

Job Description :

  1. Assist with new content editing and housemaster process.
  2. Download new materials from shared folders and edit according to established guidelines.
  3. Observe live event switching operations, including coordination with the Engineering Team and TATA Communications MCR for live transmission and switching.
  4. Observe first-level recovery procedures and decision-making processes in situations where senior playout engineers are not present.
  5. Monitor on-air content and promptly report any issues to senior staff.
  6. Process animation files for commercial and promotional content.
  7. Highlight, track, and follow through on all operational issues, ensuring end-to-end resolution.
  8. Prepare contingency plans for any corrective maintenance activities.
  9. Conduct daily operational monitoring and quality assurance (QA), including routine health checks, live playback, VOD playback across different platforms, and ensuring high service standards.
  10. Assist in Content Management System (CMS) management, including scheduling and verifying live events, and updating sports content information.

This internship will provide valuable hands-on exposure to broadcasting operations while assisting the team in day-to-day activities espy to areas where there is a gap in resources.
