Role Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Broiler Farm Manager to lead and optimize broiler farm operations in Kuching. This role is pivotal in enhancing animal health, productivity, and overall farm performance. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in broiler farm operations, strong problem-solving capabilities, and proven people management skills to drive operational excellence and meet production targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyze farm performance metrics (growth rates, mortality, feed conversion ratios) to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Provide technical guidance during disease outbreaks and implement preventive measures.
  • Collaborate with farm teams to develop corrective action plans for flock health and productivity.
  • Conduct training sessions for farm staff on SOPs, best practices, and emerging technologies.
  • Strengthen technical capabilities within farm teams to ensure consistent, high-quality, and sustainable farm performance.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, nutritionists, and management to align technical strategies with business goals.
  • Lead or support technical initiatives such as farm trials, system upgrades, and new farm development projects.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of farm visits, technical interventions, and performance data.
  • Prepare and present technical reports to management for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science, Livestock Production, or Veterinary Medicine
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in poultry farm operations, preferably with broiler farm expertise.
  • Strong knowledge of poultry health, disease diagnostics, and performance data interpretation.
  • Proactive, hands-on approach to resolving farm performance issues and implementing effective interventions.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven ability to train, coach, and mentor farm personnel to enhance operational standards.
  • Willing and able to travel frequently for on-site farm visits as required.
  • Position is based in Kuching, Sarawak.

Additional Information:

  • Operation hours/Working hours: 7:30am-4:30pm with one rest day per week and two off day per month. As a manager, she/he must be ready to answer phone call and arrange work in exigency hour.
  • Required start date: as soon as possible.
  • Allowance (if any): Handphone RM50
  • Mandatory benefits include EPF, SOCSO & EIS. Annual Leaves, Medical Leaves and OT Pay in accordance with labor laws and Paid PH as gazette by the government, etc. No overtime claims.
