Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven professional to join the Data Asset & Demand team within the Group Chief Data Officer's Office as a Business Analyst & Data Project Manager.
This role plays a critical part in bridging business and technology, translating data and analytics requirements into scalable solutions while managing end-to-end delivery of data initiatives. The incumbent will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to drive data transformation efforts, enhance the organisation's data ecosystem, and deliver impactful analytics capabilities aligned with business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Requirements Gathering & Analysis
- Engage business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document data and analytics requirements
- Conduct gap analysis, feasibility studies, and impact assessments for data initiatives
- Translate requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and solution designs
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and technology teams to deliver scalable solutions
Stakeholder Management
- Act as the key liaison between business users and technology teams to ensure alignment
- Facilitate workshops, discussions, and user acceptance testing (UAT) processes
- Deliver presentations and insights to senior management and key stakeholders
- Drive change management and promote adoption of data solutions across the organisation
- Maintain strong stakeholder relationships and provide regular project updates
Project Management
- Manage end-to-end delivery of data and analytics projects, ensuring alignment with business priorities
- Develop project plans, timelines, resource allocation, and risk management strategies
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, data, business, and regulatory stakeholders
- Manage vendors and third-party engagements where applicable
- Apply Agile or Waterfall methodologies to ensure effective project execution
- Track progress, manage dependencies, and ensure timely delivery of project milestones
Key Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Data Science, or related discipline
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, preferably within banking, financial services, or data-related roles
- Strong understanding of data platforms, infrastructure, and analytics tools (e.g., Dataiku, OAS, Denodo, Feature Store)
- Proficiency in data modelling and SQL is required
- Experience in UAT and test management processes
- Familiarity with data governance, compliance, and regulatory frameworks is an advantage
- Working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)
