Bachelor's degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience.
Desired skills with Zachman architectural modelling techniques, usage of architect tools like Telelogic, Aris and/or Architect Certification would be an added advantage
Minimum 4-6 years in architecting and implementing enterprise business applications and technology architecture, preferably in the banking industry
Exposure to large scale business transformation project is an added advantage.
Knowledge of full software lifecycle development and experience in large and complex systems within the financial sectors.
Ability to coach/mentor other technical team members and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously whilst working under tight deadlines.
Ability to communicate architectural direction to management as well as balancing theory and practicality.
Ability to create robust, sustainable architecture that support requirements and provides for scalability given budgetary constraints and user requirements.
Strong analytical and able to make decisions, exhibit sound and accurate judgment when tackling issues.
Strong appreciation of high level business strategy and translates them into implementable technologies pieces.
Good understanding on the stated business domain with proven track record in solutioning for large scale programs and projects.
Understands all dimensions of system design, including performance, scalability, release-management, industry technologies, upgrade path, costs of ownership for the overall solution.
Appreciation and Experience with Service Oriented Architecture, Application Messaging, Integration Technology, Enterprise Service Bus technology, Web Services, and Database design.
Experience to create robust, sustainable architecture that supports requirements and provides for scalability given budgetary constraints and user requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal skills and the ability to interface effectively with senior business users and IT.
