Role Overview
The Business Analyst supports the Regional Business Operations Manager in driving operational excellence, process standardization, business analysis, and governance initiatives across JD Sports Southeast Asia, covering both JD-owned markets and franchise partners.
This role is responsible for supporting business requirement gathering, SOP documentation, process mapping, operational assessments, and project coordination activities across cross-functional initiatives. The role plays a key support function in ensuring business processes, operational standards, and governance frameworks are clearly documented, aligned, and effectively implemented across the region.
The Business Analyst will work closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the organization to support scalable operational improvements, business initiatives, and execution consistency.
Key Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Requirements Support
- Support the gathering, analysis, and documentation of business and operational requirements
- Work closely with stakeholders to understand business processes, operational pain points, and improvement opportunities
- Assist in developing Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), user stories, workflows, and process documentation
- Consolidate operational gaps, business challenges, and stakeholder feedback across departments and markets
- Support definition of business problems, objectives, scope, dependencies, and success metrics
- Coordinate requirement validation sessions with stakeholders and franchise partners
SOP & Process Documentation
- Support the creation, documentation, and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Assist in process mapping, current-state assessments, and target-state workflow documentation
- Work with stakeholders to align SOPs with operational realities and business objectives
- Ensure SOPs are clearly structured, version controlled, and aligned to JD operational standards
- Support rollout, communication, training coordination, and adoption of SOPs across teams and markets
- Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and operational efficiencies
Franchise Operations Support
- Support review and documentation of franchise operational processes and SOPs
- Assist in comparing franchise operational workflows against JD standards and ways of working
- Document process gaps, operational differences, and improvement opportunities
- Support operational readiness assessments and onboarding documentation where required
- Maintain organised documentation of franchise operational standards and process updates
Project Coordination & Implementation Support
- Support coordination of operational and system-related initiatives across multiple business functions
- Assist with timeline tracking, stakeholder follow-ups, meeting coordination, and action management
- Coordinate cross-functional discussions to ensure alignment on business requirements and deliverables
- Support implementation readiness, UAT coordination, operational validation, and go-live activities
- Coordinate documentation and handover activities during project implementation phases
- Escalate blockers, risks, and dependencies to the Regional Business Operations Manager where required
Systems & Operational Support
- Support business analysis activities related to operational systems and tools
- Assist in documenting operational workflows and business process impacts for system initiatives
- Support testing preparation, issue tracking, and post-implementation adoption activities
- Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders to ensure operational requirements are captured accurately
Job Requirements
- Experience in Business Analysis, Operations, Process Improvement, or Project Coordination roles
- Strong documentation, process mapping, and stakeholder coordination skills
- Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration capabilities
- Comfortable working across multiple departments, markets, and operational environments
- Detail-oriented, structured, and process-driven mindset
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience in retail, ecommerce, omnichannel, or franchise environments preferred
- Familiarity with SOP development, operational governance, and systems/process implementation is advantageous
