Requirement - Business Analyst

Hexagram FinTech, a products company in the Investment Management space is looking for young and energetic Functional Specialists to supplement the current product team. The product is deployed in several of the top mutual fund and insurance companies in India and South East Asia and will expose you to the capital markets in these regions.

Finance professional with 2+ years of experience in any Financial Services Industry viz; Asset Management / Portfolio Management / Wealth Management / Mutual Fund / Treasury and other related industry are preferred.

Exposure / Understanding of the following areas is a pre-requisite:

Understanding of all asset classes (Equities, Bonds, Derivatives, Fixed Income, Mutual Funds , Forex etc.) and examples of each type

Attributes of each of these asset classes.

Investment Accounting (General Ledger)

Understanding of various types of corporate actions

Understanding of NFO, IPO, Primary Market, Secondary Market etc

NAV Calculation

Various types of fees associated with a trade and basic understanding of each fees

Basic understanding of how accounting is done for each type of transaction.

Knowledge of Pricing, Valuation, Gain / Loss computation, Interest computation, Amortization, Reconciliation and Reporting

Knowledge of SQL / Microsoft Excel / Microsoft PowerPoint / Microsoft Word.

Role and Responsibilities:

Part of the Functional team at Hexagram and will be responsible for Implementation of Hexagram's software products at its client sites

Assisting the product development team in Testing and validation of functionality

Providing support to existing clients on the products

As part of Implementation, will be responsible for supporting the users in user acceptance tests, conducting user training, coordinating with Technical teams, documenting user requirements, assisting in data reconciliation and reporting

Manage releases from the product team to the client installations, conduct detailed tests, contributing to continuous enrichment of user guides / manuals

Ability to work as per client's working hours.

Educational Background: Graduate / Post Graduate in Finance

Should be either from BA background or accounting background.

Experience in Front/ Mid /Back end roles on Investment System is a plus.
