ROLE OVERVIEW

Russell Tobin's client/organization is a leading global provider of insurance solutions, with operations across multiple countries. They offer commercial and personal property and casualty insurance, personal accident and supplemental health insurance, reinsurance, and life insurance to a diverse client base. The IT Business Analyst will be part of the APAC Life technology team and will work closely with business and IT stakeholders to develop technology enhancements and solutions that support the Personal Lines business unit. This role supports cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage requirements gathering and definition in an Agile/Waterfall hybrid environment.
• Partner with business stakeholders in Agile project delivery, effectively managing the product backlog and controlling changes in accordance with organizational and industry standards.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders across IT, Operations, Product Applications, and Finance for enhancements, issue identification, escalation, and resolution related to Personal Lines Policy Administration systems.
• Support business process design and documentation for new products and enhancements; translate high-level business requirements into detailed functional specifications for IT teams.
• Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with appropriate support teams (IT, Operations, Vendors) to drive resolution, while proactively communicating status to business leaders and end users.
• Participate in or lead status meetings, requirements workshops, design sessions, and implementation planning activities.
• Effectively manage multiple initiatives and priorities concurrently.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant technical or business analysis experience, with a strong understanding of business process disciplines
• Mandarin language proficiency is required.
• Ability to communicate effectively with all organizational levels, from operational staff to senior management, and to escalate issues appropriately.
• Demonstrated experience aligning business needs with technology solutions.
• Proven ability to collaborate effectively with both onsite and offshore teams.
• Knowledge of the insurance industry is strongly preferred.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to elicit detailed requirements, ask probing questions, and propose alternative solution options.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
