Business Analyst – Basel III Project

Role Summary

Business Analyst to support the Basel III Project. The role involves requirement gathering,

analysis, documenting data flows, and ensuring accurate sourcing of data from upstream

systems into the Basel data mart.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand database structures, data lineage, and end-to-end data flow (from front-end

channels / source systems to back-end data mart).

• Perform data mapping, validation, and gap analysis.

• Work with large volumes of data to support Basel III calculations.

• Prepare business and data requirements, process flows, and documentation.

• Execute UAT: build test cases/test script, validate results, and track defects.

• Collaborate with Risk, Finance, IT, and Vendor to support project delivery.

Requirements

• Experience in banking or financial services, preferably in Basel III, regulatory reporting, or

risk management.

• Strong data skills and proficiency in SQL and SAS.

• Preferably with basic understanding of banking products: loans, deposits, derivatives,

FX, etc.

• Familiarity with data marts, data relationships, ETL processes, and large datasets.

• Strong analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
