Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role based in WP, Kuala Lumpur for a Business Analyst Project Lead in the Insurance domain. The person in this role will lead end-to-end business analysis activities for insurance-related projects, including requirements gathering, documentation, and validation with stakeholders. They will work closely with business users, product owners, and technical teams to understand current business processes, identify gaps, and design improved workflows that align with project and organizational goals. The role includes coordinating project scope, priorities, and timelines, supporting solution design, and ensuring that implemented solutions meet defined business requirements and compliance standards. The Business Analyst Project Lead will also facilitate workshops and meetings, prepare clear communication materials, and track progress and risks to support successful project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills to interpret complex insurance data, identify patterns, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Overall experience of 8 to 12 years as IT Business Analyst in Insurance domain
  • Proficiency in Business Analysis and Business Requirements gathering, including translating stakeholder needs into clear, actionable documentation.
  • Experience with Business Process mapping, optimization, and re-engineering within the insurance domain.
  • Excellent Communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and leadership.
  • Proven experience leading projects or workstreams in insurance (e.g., policy administration, claims, underwriting, or customer onboarding).
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles (Agile/Scrum or similar) and tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Ability to work on-site in WP, Kuala Lumpur and collaborate effectively in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Exposure ro AWS is must
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMI-PBA, Agile certifications) are an advantage.
