Business Analyst (Underwriting / New Business)

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and document current business processes;identifygaps, bottlenecks, and automation opportunities.
• Lead process re-engineering initiatives to improve operational efficiency and enhance customer/agent journeys.
• Work closely with stakeholders to elicit,validate, and document business requirements and user stories.
• Translate business needs into functional specifications, workflows, and acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with technology teams to ensure requirements are fully understood and implemented correctly.
• Support solution design, testing, and implementationforinsurance-related systems and enhancements.
• Facilitate workshops, process walkthroughs, and requirement clarification sessions.
• Managerequirementstraceability throughout the project lifecycle.
• Drive improvements across New Business (NB),Underwriting(UW), and related insurance operations.
• Support UAT planning, execution, defect management, and user training activities.
  
  

• 710yearsexperienceas a Business Analyst / Process Analyst.
• Strong knowledge ofInsurancedomain, with hands-on experience in:
  • Process Re-engineering / Automation
  • New Business (NB)andUnderwriting(UW)
    
    
• Proven experience in mapping, analyzing, andoptimizingbusiness processes.
• Expertisein writing clear and detaileduser stories, requirements documents, and functional specs.
• Solidtechno-functional background, comfortable bridgingbusinessand technical teams.
• Strong analytical,problemsolving, and critical thinking skills.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
• Excellent communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  
  

• Experience with business automation tools (e.g., RPA, workflow automation platforms).
• Exposure todigital transformation or insurance system modernization projects.
• Certifications such as CBAP, Lean Six Sigma, or Agile Product Owner.
