About the Role
Volvo Malaysia is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Business Analytics Intern to support our aftersales and service market operations. This internship offers hands-on experience in data analysis, reporting, inventory reconciliation, and business process support. You will work closely with internal teams and external dealers to ensure smooth operations while gaining exposure to real-world business analytics applications in a multinational corporate environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Data & Document Management
- Update K1 reference numbers in VIPS before submission to LHDN, ensuring accuracy and timely updates by the 15th of each month.
- Check and file DSV documents, including invoices, delivery notes, and credit notes.
- Assist in cleaning and organizing large datasets for reporting and analysis.
2. Inventory & Reconciliation
- Prepare monthly inventory reconciliation reports (feeder system vs SAP) and ensure accuracy.
- Follow up on GR reconciliation with all dealers on a weekly basis.
- Manage CORE return processes from dealers, including approvals and follow-up actions.
- Provide trend insights on stock movement and inventory performance.
3. Order, Pricing & Business Analytics
- Issue invoices and credit notes for RT parts, AdBlue, and lubricants ordered by dealers.
- Provide RT pricing and cost analysis to relevant stakeholders when requested.
- Place orders in EBD for lubricants, AdBlue, and other related products.
- Follow up on ETA for parts based on reports from DC SML.
- Support business analytics initiatives by consolidating and visualizing order and pricing data for decision-making.
4. Reporting & Analytics
- Generate and update sales reports for all dealers from GDS after each closing cycle.
- Prepare sales performance reports from RAT upon request.
- Upload daily sales dashboard updates to SharePoint.
- Prepare monthly parts promotion reports.
- Perform data analysis and visualization to identify trends, KPIs, and insights that support management decisions.
5. Ad-hoc Support
- Assist the Service Market & Business Analytics team with any other related tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Business, Data Analytics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Accounting, or related fields.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) and ERP systems (SAP, GDS, VIPS, CMS, SharePoint) is an advantage.
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Independent, detail-oriented, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
