Overview
Join our team as a Regulatory Reporting Executive to ensure the data used for official reports is accurate and compliant. This role is vital for maintaining high data quality by preventing input errors, performing regular data clean-up, and fixing inaccuracies in collaboration with system owners and IT teams. You will help establish quality standards, analyze data to identify issues, and develop management policies to meet all BNM reporting standards.
The successful candidate(s) will report to the Manager of Regulatory Reporting.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
Functional (job responsibilities)
- Perform data cleansing by assisting the Application System Owner to ensure data input quality, which involves implementing prevention measures, on-going, and periodic maintenance, specifically utilizing the robotic process automation (RPA) project.
- Work collaboratively with Application System Owners, Data Custodian, SME, and IT to establish data quality metrics, ensuring that critical data is rectified at the Application System level and approaching Application System Owners for approval on all data rectification resolutions.
- Analyze the existing data in relation to the quality expectations, and then work with IT to fix data inaccuracies by strictly following the Bank's Change Management Process.
- Involves processing data improvement initiatives, launching activities for data quality monitoring, creating essential data management policies, and ultimately ensuring that all Regulatory Reporting is accurate and fully complies with BNM reporting standards.
Jobholder Requirements
Education/Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Statistics, Banking, Finance, or a recognized professional tertiary qualification in a related field and/or with related working experience.
Experience/Requirements
- Minimum 1 year working experience in Regulatory Reporting in the financial services industry.
- Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply as on-the-job training will be provided.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English.
- Good interpersonal and persuasion skills.
- Well versed in Microsoft Office Application (especially Excel application).
- Possess knowledge on Retail Banking System and Cards Host System will be an added advantage.
