Job Purpose

To evaluate credit applications for SME and Commercial clients, including new, renewal, and enhancement requests.

Job Accountabilities

  • Evaluate credit applications for SME and Commercial clients, including new, renewal, and enhancement requests.
  • Conduct detailed financial analysis on audited financial statements, management accounts, and cash flow projections.
  • Assess creditworthiness based on business model sustainability, industry risks, repayment capability, and collateral adequacy.
  • Prepare credit proposals and Memorandum of Approv
  • al (MA) for submission to the Credit Committee.
  • Ensure adherence to internal credit policies, regulatory guidelines, and risk management frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Relationship Managers to understand business operations and structure appropriate financing solutions.
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS
    • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
    • Professional certifications such as CFA, ACCA, CPA, or equivalent will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, credit assessment, or risk management within banking or financial services.
    • Prior exposure to SME and/or Commercial Banking portfolios is preferred.
    • Strong proficiency in financial analysis, including interpretation of audited financial statements, management accounts, and cash flow projections.
    • Sound understanding of credit risk assessment, including evaluation of repayment capacity, industry risk, and collateral structures.
    • Familiarity with Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) regulations, internal credit policies, and risk management frameworks.
    • Ability to prepare clear, structured, and concise credit papers (e.g., Memorandum of Approval).
