This role supports the delivery of
Castrol ASPAC transformation agenda, with a strong emphasis on
business growth enablement
The role works closely with the PU Business Development & Transformation Lead and ASPAC leadership to
implement transformation initiatives, support operating model evolution, and
enable revenue expansionthrough
new product/service propositions, strategic partnerships, and customer acquisition initiatives
The Transformation & Business Development Manager provides
hands-on project management, business analysis, and
cross-functional coordination to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with Castrol's strategic priorities.
Strategy & Transformation Execution
- Support the execution of Castrol ASPAC Strategy (CIP) through well-defined transformation and growth initiatives
- Translate high-level strategic priorities into workplans, achievements, and deliverables
- Track progress across transformation initiatives, highlighting risks, interdependencies, and mitigation actions
- Support simplification of business processes, operating models, and governance where applicable
- Work with cross-functional teams across commercial, supply chain, finance, marketing, technology, and external partners
- Act as a connector between strategy, execution teams, and local market stakeholders
Business Development & Growth Enablement
- Support revenue expansion initiatives through:
- Extension of product and service offerings
- Commercial pilots, value propositions, and go-to-market support
- Contribute to strategic alliance development by supporting:
- Partner assessments and case development
- Internal coordination across markets & cross functional teams
- Support customer acquisition and strategic account initiatives by:
- Preparing analyses, proposals, and commercial materials
- Coordinating internal inputs for priority opportunities
Project & Change Management
- Provide project management support across transformation and growth initiatives, including planning, tracking, and reporting
- Support change management activities such as communications, stakeholder engagement, and Management of Change (MOC) processes
- Prepare updates, dashboards, and materials for leadership reviews and governance forums
Education
- University degree or relevant professional qualification. MBA is an advantage.
- Project Management certification (i.e. Scrum master, Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP), PPM) is preferrable
Experiences
- Strong foundational business and commercial competence
- Experience supporting cross-functional projects in strategy, transformation, or business development
- Exposure to lubricants, energy, automotive, or industrial sectors is advantageous
- Experience in data analysis, business case development, and performance tracking
- Demonstrated ability to work in ambiguous and evolving environments
Skills & Competencies
- Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills
- Structured problem-solving and analytical capability
- Good understanding of project management practices (Agile exposure is a plus)
- Clear written and verbal communication across multiple levels
- Resilient, adaptable, and able to manage competing priorities
- High attention to detail with the ability to translate strategic intent to on-ground execution
