Business Development Executive – IT / Software Solutions
Location: Butterworth, Penang
Experience: 2–4 years | Fresh Graduates with strong IT knowledge are welcome
About the Role
We are looking for a Business Development Executive to drive new business opportunities and build strong client relationships for our IT Outsourcing, Custom Software Development, Cloud, AI, ERP, and Digital Transformation solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and generate new business leads through networking, cold calling, LinkedIn, exhibitions, referrals, and client visits.
- Build and maintain relationships with existing and potential clients.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable IT/software solutions.
- Conduct client presentations, solution demonstrations, and business meetings.
- Prepare proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly/quarterly targets.
- Coordinate with technical, project management, and software development teams on solution design and delivery.
- Maintain CRM records, sales documentation, and activity reports.
- Monitor market trends, competitors, and emerging technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 2–4 years of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management.
- IT services, software development, system integration, or technology sales experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of software development, cloud, ERP, AI, or digital transformation is an advantage.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Good proficiency in MS Office.
- Self-motivated, organized, target-driven, and able to work under pressure.
