Role Overview
We are looking for an early-career Business Development Executive with foundational experience in cybersecurity sales or IT solutions. This role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of total work experience who understands key cybersecurity concepts and is eager to grow within a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable engaging in technology conversations, while also having a good grasp of commercial processes. A key focus of this role will be to build strong relationships with partner ecosystems and generate leads through collaboration with principal vendors.
Role Description
The Business Development Executive will support revenue growth by developing partner-led opportunities and contributing to the sales cycle. The role involves working closely with cybersecurity vendors, internal teams, and clients to identify opportunities and drive deal progression.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong relationships with principal cybersecurity vendors and partners, and collaborate with their Account Executives to generate leads
- Identify and develop new business opportunities through partner collaboration and market engagement
- Engage with enterprise and commercial customers to understand cybersecurity and IT requirements
- Support positioning of Positka's offerings across licensing, implementation, and managed services
- Assist in managing the sales cycle from opportunity identification to closure
- Work closely with pre-sales and solution teams to align offerings with customer needs
- Maintain and grow a healthy pipeline through consistent follow-ups and relationship management
- Support account development activities and contribute to revenue targets
Analytical / Decision-Making Responsibilities
- Understand and align cybersecurity solutions with client requirements
- Coordinate with partners and internal stakeholders to progress opportunities
- Navigate basic commercial and sales processes effectively
- Identify potential risks or gaps in deal cycles and proactively address them
- Demonstrate strong ownership and accountability in managing assigned relationships and opportunities
Experience, Skills & Education
- 3–5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within cybersecurity or IT solutions
- Basic to intermediate understanding of cybersecurity technologies such as SIEM, SOAR, EDR, Identity Management, and Cloud Security
- Ability to confidently engage in technology discussions without hesitation
- Familiarity with commercial processes including invoicing, purchase orders (PO), deal registration, and partner engagement models
- Experience working with system integrators, OEMs and end-customers is preferred
- Strong communication, coordination, and relationship-building skills
- Proactive, eager to learn, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
- Fluency in English is required; Mandarin is mandatory, and proficiency in Cantonese will be an added advantage.

Location & Travel
