Business Development Executive (Energy Solutions)

Job Responsibilities

• Identify, develop, and pursue new business opportunities in the energy efficiency and renewable energy sectors.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with potential clients, industry partners, consultants, and government stakeholders.
• Assist in preparing proposals, tenders, presentations, and pitch decks tailored to client needs.
• Work closely with technical teams to understand solution offerings and translate them into commercially appealing proposals.
• Research market trends, competitive landscape, and government policies (e.g., GreenTech incentives, energy regulations).
• Support the company in expanding to new sectors including water utilities, transport, manufacturing, and commercial buildings.
• Attend relevant events, expos, and networking sessions to promote LW's brand and services.
• Prepare periodic sales reports and business development plans to achieve set KPIs.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Energy Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in business development, preferably in energy, sustainability, engineering, or infrastructure sectors.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills – must be comfortable engaging with executives and government agencies.
• Strong proposal writing, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Able to work independently, take initiative, and manage multiple priorities.
• Familiarity with Energy Performance Contracting (EPC), Net Energy Metering (NEM), and IoT-based energy management is an added advantage.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
