Job Description

2. Role Overview

We are looking for a driven and commercially minded Business Development Executive to join our HQ team in Kuala Lumpur.

In this role, you will support Meekco's BD team by identifying new business opportunities, building strong relationships with prospects and partners, and helping convert opportunities into long-term client accounts.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys sales, relationship-building, strategic conversations, and the fast pace of a digital agency environment. Candidates with around 1–2 years of relevant experience are preferred for the executive level, while strong fresh graduates with the right attitude and communication skills are also encouraged to apply.

3. Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, events, and partnerships.
  • Build and maintain relationships with potential clients, brand owners, decision-makers, and strategic partners.
  • Understand client business goals and pain points, then help match them with Meekco's services and app solutions.
  • Support sales presentations, pitches, proposals, and follow-up communications with prospects.
  • Work closely with internal teams to prepare tailored solutions for retail and brand clients across eCommerce, performance marketing, CRO, and digital transformation.
  • Conduct market research, industry mapping, and competitor analysis to uncover new growth opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, and pipeline progress in CRM or internal tracking systems.
  • Assist in planning and supporting business development campaigns, partner collaborations, and industry events.
  • Follow up consistently with leads to move opportunities across the sales pipeline.

4. Primary Skillset Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, eCommerce, or a related field.
  • 1–2 years of experience in business development, solutions or project sales, account servicing, partnerships, or a related commercial role.
  • Passionate fresh graduates with strong internship exposure, presentation skills, or commercial interest are welcome to apply.
  • Strong interest in digital commerce, AI retail, branding, and business growth.
  • Good understanding of eCommerce, retail operation, digital marketing, or agency services is an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia is a plus.
  • Confidence in speaking with clients, presenting ideas, and building professional relationships.
  • Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple leads and deadlines in a fast-moving environment.
  • Comfortable using AI tools and digital tools for research, productivity, and daily work.
  • A positive, curious, and results-oriented mindset.
