Role Overview
The Business Development (Membership Partner) role focuses on driving growth through strategic partnerships, merchant onboarding, and on-ground promotional activities. This role plays a key part in expanding MOVA's ecosystem, strengthening brand presence, and ensuring effective collaboration between internal teams and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Development & Strategic Partnerships
- Identify, engage, and negotiate with potential partners, merchants, and brands for onboarding onto the MOVA platform.
- Develop and execute strategies to increase membership adoption and merchant participation.
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with partners to support sustainable growth.
- Conduct market research and analyse competitor activities, trends, and customer insights to inform business strategies.
- Road Booths & Promotional Activities
- Plan, organise, and execute road booths, roadshows, events, and on-ground marketing activities.
- Brief, train, and supervise booth staff to ensure professional brand representation.
- Monitor and track booth performance, including sign-ups, engagement, and lead generation.
- Prepare post-event reports covering performance metrics, customer feedback, and improvement recommendations.
- Ensure consistent and proper use of MOVA branding, materials, and promotional merchandise.
- Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Lead, guide, and support business development teams and promoters.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure aligned execution of initiatives.
- Provide regular progress updates, reports, and KPI tracking to Management.
- Assist customers with enquiries, order placements, feedback, and complaints during campaigns or activations.
- Maintain accurate records of customer and partner interactions in internal systems.
- Coordinate with internal teams to resolve service or product-related issues efficiently.
- Uphold MOVA's brand image through professional, confident, and empathetic communication.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Reporting Manager or Management from time to time.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 24 years of experience in business development, partnerships, sales, or marketing roles.
- Proven background in Multi-Level Marketing, network marketing, or membership-based sales models is required.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience in on-ground activations, roadshows, or event-based marketing is an advantage.
- Ability to analyse market trends, customer data, and performance metrics.
- Self-motivated, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel and work on weekends or public holidays when required for events.
