About the Team
We are looking for a results-driven Business Development Executive (Offline & Online Acquisition) to expand and activate the ParcelDaily merchant ecosystem. This role focuses on acquiring new offline merchants and driving activation of newly registered online merchants until they reach defined performance thresholds.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Acquisition (Offline & Online)
- Identify and onboard new offline customers.
- Manage newly registered online customers.
- Execute targeted outreach strategies to convert high-potential online customers into active transacting customers.
- Build strong early-stage relationships to accelerate customer ramp-up.
2. Merchant Activation & Graduation
- Drive first-transaction conversion for newly onboarded customers.
- Monitor customers performance and proactively engage accounts with low or declining activity.
- Accelerate parcel volume growth to meet defined graduation criteria
- Ensure proper documentation and smooth transition of graduated customers to the Account Management team.
3. Sales & Portfolio Growth
- Develop strategies to grow early-stage customer portfolios and increase transaction volumes.
- Identify upselling opportunities during the activation phase.
- Collaborate with marketing to support acquisition campaigns and targeted activation initiatives.
4. Product Advisory & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Advise customers on ParcelDaily packages, features and best practices.
- Work closely with operations and support teams to ensure seamless onboarding and issue resolution.
- Gather feedback from early-stage customers to improve acquisition and activation processes.
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting
- Track acquisition numbers, activation rates, first transaction conversion, parcel growth and graduation metrics.
- Prepare regular reports on progress against acquisition and activation targets.
- Provide insights to optimize conversion funnel performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- 25 years of experience in sales, business development, or merchant acquisition.
- Experience in logistics or e-commerce is preferred.
- Proven ability to convert leads into active customers and drive early-stage revenue growth.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to track performance metrics.
- Self-motivated and target-driven.
- Proficiency in English, Malay and Chinese is an advantage.
