About the Job

To lead and grow the SME channel for Employee Benefits by driving new and renewal business, strengthening SME distribution partnerships, and ensuring sustainable and profitable growth of the SME portfolio across broking, agency and direct channels.

Job Scope

  • Develop and execute the overall SME channel strategy to drive growth in Employee Benefits business, aligned with company objectives.
  • Deliver SME channel sales targets, including new business acquisition, renewal retention and portfolio expansion.
  • Identify market opportunities, product gaps, and pricing strategies to strengthen competitiveness within the SME segment.
  • Drive productivity and effectiveness of the SME sales force and channel partners through clear direction, performance monitoring and coaching.
  • Ensure seamless end-to-end implementation for SME clients, including onboarding, policy setup, enrolment, billing and servicing.
  • Act as an escalation point for key SME clients and distribution partners to resolve complex issues effectively.
  • Lead or participate in projects and initiatives aimed at improving SME proposition, operational efficiency, and digital enablement.

We are looking for people who

  • Degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Marketing, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 8-12 years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to SME business.
  • Proven track record in sales, marketing, or business development with excellent interpersonal, communication and networking skills.
  • Prior people management or team leadership experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Employee Benefits products, underwriting principles, pricing, renewals, and portfolio management for the SME segment.
