Job Description

  • Build and own relationships with AI startup founders, CTOs, engineers, and product leaders across the U.S.
  • Gain a deep understanding of customer technical architectures and business models, including LLM fine-tuning, RAG pipelines, AI agent orchestration, computer vision, and generative AI applications.
  • Position the company's AI platform-models, managed AI services, GPU-optimized infrastructure, scalable storage, and serverless inference-as the optimal solution for performance, flexibility, and cost.
  • Drive customer adoption and expansion from early pilots to scaled production, with a strong focus on AI-related usage (GPU hours, model hosting, API consumption).
  • Partner closely with Solutions Architects and AI specialists to design differentiated solutions addressing startup challenges such as efficient training, low-latency inference, and global deployment.
  • Guide customers through competitive evaluations versus major cloud providers, articulating advantages in openness, pricing, and architectural flexibility.
  • Represent the company at AI conferences, startup accelerators, incubators, and venture capital ecosystem events.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, sharing market and developer feedback with internal product and engineering teams to improve tooling and experience.

The Successful Applicant

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing technical sales, solutions engineering, or developer relations within cloud, AI/ML, or infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of modern AI stacks, including transformers, fine-tuning, quantization, vector databases, inference optimization, and MLOps.
  • Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and comfort operating in fast-paced, founder-led startup environments.
  • Willingness to travel extensively (approximately 50%) across the U.S.

Preferred

  • Experience working at or closely with AI startups.
  • Hands-on experience deploying AI models on major cloud platforms.
  • Familiarity with open-weight models, model serving frameworks, and inference cost/performance tradeoffs.
  • Demonstrated passion for AI innovation through research, experimentation, or side projects.
  • An established network within the U.S. AI, startup, or VC ecosystem.
