About the Job
They are looking to hire a Business Development Manager to be based in Malaysia, but overseeing international markets. This means you will spearhead client relationships in the entertainment industry across SEA, Europe, and North America (travelling is involved). You will analyse market trends, understand partner needs, and design solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead business development initiatives for concerts, theatre productions, music festivals, and sports events across regional and overseas markets
- Develop and grow partnerships with promoters, production houses, venues, agencies, and event organisers
- Identify new business opportunities and expand the company's market presence internationally
- Analyse market trends, audience insights, and competitive landscape to support commercial strategy
- Strengthen long-term relationships with key industry stakeholders and partners
- Provide on-site support for major events when required to ensure smooth execution and partner coordination
- Collaborate closely with internal teams including product, ticketing, operations, content, and marketing
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience in live entertainment, concerts, theatre, festivals, or sports events promotion
- Background in business development, partnerships, or market expansion, preferably across multiple countries
- Strong stakeholder management skills with venues, promoters, agencies, production teams, or artistes
- Commercially driven with strong analytical and negotiation skills
- Comfortable working in fast-paced, project-based environments with tight timelines
