Job Description

Monroe Consulting Group, an Executive Recruitment firm, is partnering with a genomics and life-science organisation in the Healthcare industry to hire a Business Development Manager. This opportunity is based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Position Overview

The role is responsible for driving market growth and expanding the genomic diagnostics portfolio. It will directly contribute to strengthening the organisation's presence and impact in Malaysia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute on strategies to drive business in the country
  • Manage day-to-day engagements with channel partners/HCPs
  • Help with identifying, screening, and appointing channel partners in unaddressed regions
  • Close track and account for tests ordered, reports delivered, invoice status, and payment status
  • Build strong confidence with prescribers and prospects with product knowledge & ongoing pre and post-sales support
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute on marketing plans, including but not limited to webinars and conferences
  • Meet the assigned sales goals month on month & ensure timely collection of receivables
  • Coordinate with internal collaborating teams such as Customer Support, Logistics, Lab, Marketing, Finance for execution of objectives

Key Requirements

  • 4+ years experience in sales in diagnostics/pharma industry (preferably in Oncology/Gynae)
  • Degree in science/pharmacy/biotechnology
  • Proven ability in independently managing sales in specific regions
  • Proficiency in spoken & written English. Other languages are an additional advantage.
  • Strong ability to build confidence with prescribers and prospects
  • Effective collaboration with cross-functional teams
  • Dynamic, proactive, and solution-oriented approach
