Role Purpose
We are seeking a self-motivated Business Development Manager with an entrepreneurial mindset to be part of our growing business in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The right candidate is someone who wants to be at the forefront of growing and developing a business while leveraging our vast network of regional relationships.
The successful candidate will drive growth and expansion for our organization and will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building relationships with key decision-makers, and developing strategies to drive revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
1. Client Acquisition & Solution Selling
- Identify, engage, and secure new logos and business opportunities across the full suite of Human Resource Solutions (Recruitment, Staffing, Employer of Record (EOR), Payroll Outsourcing, HR Advisory & Immigration Services).
- Conduct consultative sales meetings to assess client needs and design customized HR solutions.
- Build a robust sales pipeline through lead generation, referrals, cold outreach, networking, and participation in relevant HR and industry events.
- Upsell, Cross Sell and Maintain existing accounts working closely with Customer Success team
- Have access to and maintain relationships with various stakeholders of different levels from the client side.
- Update and derive insights (where possible) from our internal systems regularly and accurately
2. Market Intelligence & Service Innovation
- Stay current with local HR regulations, market trends, and competitor offerings in HR outsourcing and talent solutions.
- Provide regular feedback to internal stakeholders to support product development and service enhancement.
3. Sales Strategy & Performance Reporting
- Contribute to the development and execution of go-to-market strategies for new and existing HR solutions.
- Track, analyze, and report on pipeline health, revenue forecasts, and business development metrics using CRM tools.
- Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets and KPIs.
4. Regional Collaboration & Market Expansion
- Actively contribute as part of the regional commercial team to support cross-border client acquisition and service delivery.
- Work closely with commercial counterparts across Southeast Asia to introduce and onboard clients in multiple local markets.
- Share market insights, client leads, and best practices to help expand regional revenue and brand presence.
Requirements
- Excellent communication, interpersonal skills with a consultative sales approach.
- Entrepreneurial with an ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to drive business growth and achieve targets.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in HR services, staffing, EOR, or professional services.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in B2B environments.
- Strong understanding of HR outsourcing, payroll, and contingent workforce models across Southeast Asia or a strong propensity (with history) of learning things fun
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, client-facing role with strong solution-selling capabilities.
