Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is a strategic, growth-focused role responsible for driving revenue, expanding market share, and securing high-value design and fit-out projects. Operating at the front end of the business, you will identify new commercial opportunities, build strong relationships with key stakeholders, and position the company as the preferred design partner.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify, qualify, and secure new business opportunities through targeted networking, market research, and cold outreach. Maintain a robust, predictable sales pipeline.
  • Build and nurture an active network of corporate clients, property developers, real estate brokers, project management consultants (PMCs), and landlords to secure early-stage project intelligence.
  • Lead pitch presentations to prospective clients. Confidently articulate the company's design philosophy, technical capabilities, unique selling propositions (USPs), and past project successes.
  • Coordinate the end-to-end preparation of design proposals, expressions of interest (EOIs), and tender submissions. Work alongside the Design and Costing teams to ensure bids are creative, compliant, commercially competitive, and high-margin.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, real estate market movements, and upcoming developments to identify gaps and new growth sectors.
  • Maintain relationship continuity with existing clients to secure repeat business, referrals, and long-term retainer accounts.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5–8 years of B2B sales or business development experience, with at least 3 years specifically within the Interior Design, Design & Build (D&B), or commercial fit-out sector.
