What you can expect
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across Penang and the Northern Region
  • Drive customer acquisition and revenue growth by securing new accounts and achieving assigned annual sales targets.
  • Collaborate with Rhenus offices across Asia and Europe to develop and expand international trade lanes, leveraging Penang's strategic role as a major export hub.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation and client meetings to proposal development, negotiation, and post-sales support.
  • Use CRM tools effectively for pipeline tracking, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring accurate visibility of sales performance.
  • Deliver persuasive presentations and customized logistics solutions that address customer challenges and add measurable value.
  • Build and nurture long-term customer relationships to drive retention, cross-selling, and sustainable account growth.
  • Stay informed on market trends, competitor movements, and trade developments affecting Penang's logistics and supply chain ecosystem.

What you bring
  • Diploma or Degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Proven experience in sales and business development within Malaysia, ideally in freight forwarding, logistics, or transportation sectors.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience, with solid knowledge of northern Malaysia's export-driven industries and port operations (e.g., Bayan Lepas Free Industrial Zone, Penang Port).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency is an added advantage.
  • Strong ability to manage sales pipelines and reporting using CRM tools and digital sales platforms.
  • A self-motivated, results-oriented professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively within a team environment.
  • Customer-centric mindset with a focus on solution selling and long-term business partnerships.
  • Good understanding of regional logistics networks, including air, sea, and cross-border transportation in northern Malaysia.
