As the Business Development Manager -Asia you will be managing regional partners and working with end users to ensure overall account satisfaction and growth over time. You would be responsible for customer satisfaction levels, striving to exceed expectations and nurture long-term relationships with South Asia region customers for Sepura.

You will be also assisting Business Development Manager (Asia) for developing new markets and verticals and ensuring existing market verticals are expanded to new users.

Role

As a proven Business Development Manager, you will be managing the accounts of Sepura in Southeast Asia critical communications Industry. You will be responsible for working with the existing Sepura partners in territories we are already successful in, and working new opportunities in countries and markets that are new to Sepura. You will be using your experience gained either in the Telecommunications or IT Industry and using your network of contacts expand the addressable customer base for Sepura Products.

With a background in sales with Government Customers, large regional Systems Integrators and Oil and Gas markets you will be driving and managing sales through existing or new partners. You require skills in project management, strategic planning, and the ability to analyse and identify trends within the account.

You would need good selling skills as well to be able to convert opportunities you uncover into ongoing revenue. You will be a critical thinker looking at how to position Sepura's products into different verticals.

You will speak Bahasa Malaysia/ Indonesia whilst also being fluent in English. Able to speak in Thai/ Vietnam and/or Chinese will be an advantage.

Working closely with the existing Business Development Manager and Sales Engineers you will develop a strategy to address key clients across the assigned territory.

Our customer base includes many different industries and markets around the world. Our complete TETRA and LTE solutions have been developed specifically for users in multiple sectors to face their critical communications challenges.

Responsibilities

There is no such thing as a typical day here at Sepura. You will be supported by your manager and team, as well as collaborating with other departments across the business. Activities you will be responsible for include:

  • Relationship-building that goes beyond the initial connection or sales pursuit. Continue cultivating and expanding the relationship by consistently delivering on commitments, nurturing the relationship over time, and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Create comprehensive account plan involves mapping the key players within the account, understanding the business priorities of the organisation, assessing the potential opportunities, exploring expansion possibilities across different departments, and determining how to grow the account over time.
  • Increase recurring revenue and build new renewals revenue on the accounts is Southeast Asia.
  • Respond to tenders and requests for information from partners and end users.
  • Manage Channel conflict to ensure margins are protected and the value of Sepura products are clear to end users.
  • Engage with key stake holders in new verticals and sectors to promote Sepura products and increase the overall market share of Sepura in the critical communications Market in Southeast Asia.
  • Plan trade shows and conference speaker slots to promote Sepura and the technology direction that Sepura are driving.
  • Willingness to work evening on an ad hoc basis to engage with Sepura's Headquarters in Cambridge UK.

This job involves extensive travelling so the successful applicant will have a full, clean driving licence, own car, and valid passport. Travel expenses will be reimbursed. It is anticipated that around 50% of the time will be spent travelling regionally in Southeast Asia with some overseas travel to the UK.

Qualifications

Must haves:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering (Telecommunication) or equivalent.

Experience and Skills

  • Proven track record in managing sales account on both government and commercial in LMR or telecommunications environment with at least 5 years experience.
  • High level customer engagement skills. Able to reach out to all seniority levels in organisations.
  • Proven ability to engage in the end user environment with diverse customer needs.
  • Ability to present to high level management on sales strategies and initiatives.
  • Outgoing and approachable manner.
  • Available for local and international travel
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and negotiation capabilities
  • Exceptional communications skills
  • Confident public speaker and presenter.
  • Fluent in Bahasa Malaysia/ Indonesia and English.
  • Speak in Thai and/or Chinese is an advantage.
