Role Overview
As the Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and driving revenue for Channel10. The role requires a strong understanding of media partnerships, client relationship management, and the ability to articulate Channel10's value proposition to key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business growth strategies aligned with Channel10's vision and goals.
- Identify new partnership opportunities with corporate sponsors, government agencies, and thought leaders across various industries.
- Proactively source, prospect, and engage with C-suite and key decision-makers (client, partners and potential collaborators) through strategic outreach, industry events, and network expansion.
- Build and manage relationships with clients, partners, and potential collaborators (e.g., sponsors, speakers, media networks).
- Prepare strategic proposals, partnership decks, and pitch materials to engage clients and sponsors.
- Work closely with the content, production, and marketing teams to design programs that meet partner expectations.
- Monitor market trends to identify emerging topics and opportunities for sponsorship and monetization.
- Achieve quarterly revenue targets through paid interviews, sponsored campaigns, subscriptions, or strategic collaborations.
- Drive, execute and achieve quarterly revenue targets through diversified revenue strategies across paid interviews, sponsored campaigns, subscriptions, and strategic collaborations.
- Lead negotiations and close partnership agreements that enhance Channel10's brand and financial sustainability.
- Lead all commercial negotiations to secure favorable terms and maximize profitability for Channel 10.
- Track and report progress of business development activities and performance metrics to senior management.
- Represent Channel10 at industry events, conferences, and networking sessions to establish the platform's presence.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Media, Communications, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in business development, media sales, or strategic partnerships.
- Proven track record of achieving business and revenue targets.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills with an ability to influence decision-makers.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, media-driven environment.
- Familiarity with media production and digital content platforms is an added advantage.
- Existing network of contacts within the media, advertising, or marketing industry is a strong advantage.
