ROLE OVERVIEW
The Business Development Officer (BDO) plays a front-line sales role in driving the adoption of CTOS's proprietary risk management solutions among business users. This position is highly sales-driven, with a strong focus on customer acquisition, revenue generation, and pipeline growth. Success in this role is measured by the ability to consistently meet and exceed sales targets through effective prospecting, relationship-building, and deal conversion.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Promote products or services to customers and negotiates contracts with the aim of maximizing revenue
- Increase sales opportunities, improve market position and maximize organization growth
- Identify business opportunities by identifying prospects, evaluating their position in the industry, researching and analysing sales options
- Sell products by establishing contact and developing relationships with prospects, recommending solutions. Present the product or service favourably and in a structured professional way.
- Negotiate and close deals, handle complaints or objections
- Maintain relationships with clients by providing support, information and guidance, researching and recommending new opportunities and service improvements.
- Build networks and spheres of influence in order to grow prospects lists
- Maintain reports by collecting and updating data in line with organization standards.
- Maintain and improve professional, selling skills and technical knowledge through organization development roadmap
- Review own performance and aim at exceeding set targets
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
WHAT DOES IT TAKE TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Work Experiences
- Candidates with 1 year of sales experience preferred – SME sales experience will be an added advantage.
- Fresh graduates with diploma / degrees are also encouraged to apply.
Skills & Competencies
- Highly self-motivated, strong interpersonal and Communication skills.
- Results oriented, self-driven, persuasive, persistent and resourceful.
- Able to work in a team as well as independently.
- Candidates who are fluent in Mandarin are preferred because the role requires candidates to interact with Mandarin-speaking clients.
- Possess own transport.
- This position is required to Travel and perform Outdoor Sales.
