We are looking for an experienced Sales Manager to lead and manage sales activities for our packaging product lines including aluminium cans, ends, and cartons.
This role focuses on driving sustainable revenue growth, expanding market share, and maintaining strong customer relationships across the beverage and food industries. The position requires flexibility for remote work, frequent travel, and occasional office presence when required.
Key Responsibilities1. Sales Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and business growth.
- Analyze market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to support data-driven decisions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the beverage and food sectors.
- Expand the company's presence in the packaging industry, particularly aluminium cans and carton products.
2. Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts and potential customers.
- Ensure high customer satisfaction by responding promptly to customer needs and resolving issues effectively.
- Conduct regular local and international customer visits to gather feedback and strengthen partnerships.
3. Quotation & Pricing
- Prepare accurate and competitive quotations based on internal cost structures and customer specifications.
- Collaborate with finance, logistics, and order management teams to ensure aligned pricing strategies.
- Negotiate commercial terms and close deals in a professional and ethical manner.
4. Operational & Cross-Functional Support
- Monitor sales performance, forecast demand, and maintain an active sales pipeline.
- Ensure CRM systems and customer records are updated accurately.
- Follow up on deliveries, payments, and after-sales services to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Work closely with production, QA, logistics, and order handling teams to meet customer expectations.
- Share customer feedback and market insights to support product improvement and innovation.
Requirements
- 58+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in the packaging industry (aluminium cans, cartons, PET bottles, preforms, closures, etc.).
- Proven experience in key account management and customer relationship development.
Skills & Competencies
- Understanding of packaging production and line performance metrics (e.g., CPM, OEE) is a plus.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, target-oriented, and able to work independently.
Flexibility & Mobility
- Willingness to travel extensively domestically and internationally.
- Comfortable working remotely with flexibility to return to the office when required.
Languages
- Fluent in English.
- Additional languages such as Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia are an advantage.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with downstream equipment in packaging production lines.
