Role Overview

The Business Development & Strategy Executive will be responsible for analysing our business performance, helping with market expansion, and supporting leadership with insights that drive growth and profitability. You will play a central role in working with both internal and external stakeholders, communicating our economic story clearly to investors, and managing projects to ensure that our long-term business strategies are well understood.

This is not a traditional sales or business development role. It's a hands-on, high-impact position at the heart of a scaling startup, perfect for someone who wants to move beyond sales into the world of more strategic decision making.

Key Responsibilities

Business & Strategic Analysis

  • Evaluate business performance across teams and functions, identifying drivers of growth, efficiency, and customer value.
  • Build and refine analytical frameworks and financial models to support strategic decisions (unit economics, margins, breakeven analysis).
  • Support leadership in scenario planning, prioritisation, and setting strategic directions across product, operations, and growth initiatives.

Project & Product Support

  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to scope, plan, and execute strategic projects, especially for expansion to new market segments and regions.
  • Translate business requirements into clear project plans, timelines, and measurable outcomes.
  • Identify bottlenecks and propose solutions to improve workflows, processes, and performance.

Fundraising & Stakeholder Communication

  • Prepare materials, reports, and narratives that communicate the company's business progress and strategy to investors and various external stakeholders.
  • Assist leadership in shaping a clear and compelling economic story for fundraising.
  • Support due diligence by coordinating information, data, and documentation across teams.

What We're Looking For

  • 13 years experience in consulting, strategy, project management, corporate finance, or business operations.
  • Strong analytical abilities with comfort around numbers and financial concepts (unit economics, margins, basic modelling).
  • Excellent communicator, able to simplify complex information and drive alignment across teams.
  • Organised, structured, and capable of managing cross-functional projects.
  • Resourceful, self-driven, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-growth startup environment.
