As a Business Development Team Lead, you will play a key role in expanding ShopeeFood's merchant ecosystem in Johor Bahru, Johor. You will lead and develop a team of field sales executives, drive merchant acquisition and growth strategies, and build strong partnerships with local F&B businesses. This role requires a hands-on leader who understands the local market landscape and is passionate about building high-performing teams while delivering impactful business results.
Job Description
- Lead, supervise and guide a team of field sales Business Development Executives to achieve team KPIs and sales targets by providing regular coaching, developing strategies, and monitoring performance.
- Identify business opportunities in your area to drive merchant growth.
- Collaborate with business leads and cross-functional teams to support ShopeeFood's business objectives.
- Support the development of win-win solutions for partners and ShopeeFood based on business needs.
- Drive localized business growth through competitor analysis, sales planning, and merchant engagement strategies.
- Proactively manage relationships with merchants to ensure satisfaction and growth within your designated area.
- Ensure the team meets operational and strategic goals while maintaining a focus on merchant success.
Requirements
- Based in Johor with strong knowledge of the local F&B and market landscape.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or merchant partnerships, with proven team leadership experience.
- Experience in F&B, FMCG, food delivery, or e-commerce industries is highly preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in any field (Business, Commerce, or Marketing preferred).
- Proactive and independent, with the ability to manage team performance and drive targets.
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and stakeholder management skills; effective in collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Innovative problem-solver with practical business acumen and analytical ability.
- Fluent in English. Proficiency in Bahasa Melayu, Chinese, other languages or dialects will be an added advantage.
- Flexible to work on-ground during peak periods or as business needs require.
