Job Summary:
Internally, this role is known as New Country Expansion Manager. The incumbent will play a key role in spearheading and project managing MR DIY's expansion into new international markets, ensuring a smooth market entry and laying the foundation for long-term success and profitability. This role requires strong analytical skills, cross functional collaboration, and the ability to adapt within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Entry Preparation: Plan and manage new market entries end-to-end. Oversee the smooth transition into new markets, ensuring all foundational elements are in place for long-term success and profitability.
- Market Analysis & Research: Conduct detailed market research and analysis, including demographics, market trends, mapping, and competitive landscapesleveraging strong Excel skills to guide strategic decisions.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with internal teams and external stakeholders to align goals and ensure seamless integration during market entry.
- Partner Coordination: Collaborate across internal teams and external partners. Work closely with third-party service providers and business partners to facilitate successful market expansion.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with new market entry, develop contingency plans, and address issues proactively.
- Progress Reporting: Track progress and report to senior leadership. Generate regular progress updates for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and any deviations from plans.
- Ad-Hoc Support: Provide additional assistance and problem-solving support as needed to ensure project success.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Law preferred
- Has 510 years of experience in retail or a similar fast-paced industry.
- Proficient in project and timeline management tools.
- Strategic thinker with strong business acumen, and practical problem-solving skills to navigate complex, fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication skills and experience in managing regional team.
