Job Purpose
The successful candidate will be part of the Data & Analytics team who will perform the development of various Power BI reports and dashboards which will bring valuable insights to the business and will help drive decision making.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, by connecting with various data sources, ensuring visual effectiveness and results accuracy.
- Utilize Power Query for ETL processes, extracting, transforming, and loading data from various sources.
- Build and optimize robust data models to support organizational reporting needs.
- Use advanced DAX formulas to create the required measures for the dashboards & reports.
- Ability to create dashboards in Power BI desktop from scratch, starting from requirements gathering to user presentation.
- Publish to Power BI service and apply Row Level Security, managing access.
- Manage incremental and scheduled refresh processes.
- Communicate effectively with multiple technical and non-technical business users, providing project updates and incorporating changes.
- Collaborate with other BI team members, sharing knowledge and providing support.
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in Power BI.
- Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance BI skills.
- Document all aspects of BI solutions, including data sources, transformation processes, and dashboard logic.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree or Master's degree in engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
- Microsoft Certified Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) Certification preferred.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI Development using advanced DAX and Power Query.
- Data warehousing concepts and basic SQL knowledge is beneficial.
- High attention to detail and quality of results.
- Retail experience is beneficial.
