As a Business Operations Analyst 3, you will be improving manufacturing performance through analytics and data-driven problem solving. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys turning business needs into insights, building practical solutions, and partnering with stakeholders to improve how work gets done.
What You'll Do
You will execute analytics workstreams that improve operational excellence across manufacturing functions. In this role, you will use analytics, statistical methods, and structured problem solving to deliver practical solutions, actionable insights, and reliable reporting within defined priorities.
- Support business continuity operational readiness by aligning fixture availability with ramp plans, tracking inventory and replenishment needs, monitoring movement, and coordinating workforce mobility.
- Perform business and data analysis to identify root causes, turn complex data into actionable insights, and recommend practical solutions.
- Conduct exploratory analysis to answer emerging business questions and provide timely, data-backed insights.
- Build reports and analytics solutions that improve visibility, support decision-making, and enhance operational performance.
- Maintain data quality and governance by following best practices for validation, documentation, and reproducibility.
- Partner with stakeholders to support adoption by communicating insights, models, and recommendations clearly to technical teams and business partners.
- Maintain clear documentation to support transparency, scalability, and knowledge transfer.
Who We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience designing, supporting, or improving business applications, analytics solutions, or reporting tools in Global Operations, manufacturing, or similar environments.
- Hands-on experience building reports, dashboards, or analytics solutions using tools such as Power BI or SAP Business Objects.
- Working knowledge of data warehouse and ETL concepts, development methods, and data management best practices.
- Working knowledge of SQL, SAP ABAP, HANA technologies, and ERP systems such as SAP ECC in manufacturing and materials environments.
- Knowledge of statistical techniques and analytical methods used to solve business and operational problems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn data into actionable insights and practical solutions.
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, document needs, and support solution delivery.
- Exposure to manufacturing or operations processes and the ability to apply domain knowledge in day-to-day analytics work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical and business topics clearly.
- 3+ years of experience developing reports and dashboards using tools such as Power BI, Qlik Sense, Tableau, or SAP Business Objects.
- 2+ years of experience in data warehouse and ETL design and development.
- 3+ years of experience with SQL, SAP ABAP, HANA technologies, or similar data platforms.
- 3+ years of experience with SAP ECC or other ERP systems supporting manufacturing and materials management.
- Experience applying statistical techniques such as regression, hypothesis testing, and distribution analysis to business problems.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools for analysis, reporting, and communication.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories – On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. On-site Flex you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. Virtual Flex you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
